Teaching Experience

I approach teaching as a collaborative process, aiming to foster critical thinking and connect existing knowledge to new concepts. Drawing from diverse disciplines and personal experiences, I prioritize accessible language and safer spaces for exploration. My approach emphasizes inspiring students, making learning relatable, and creating dialogue among peers. I cultivate a learning culture that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and respectful collaboration, focusing on trust-building and establishing community.

Awarded Bishop’s University Excellence in Teaching Award in 2022 and Contract Faculty Teaching Prize 2023, I prioritize active engagement and growth in students by creating supportive and interactive learning environments where student voices are valued and integrated.
